My nose itches like crazy!! I feel like I’m going to scratch it off! Sometimes the inside itches, a lot of times the outside does and sometimes my cheek and sometimes the back of my throat I wake up in the morning and I immediately get stuffed up and start sneezing and all day I’m itching!!!! This is year-round nothing seems to help I’ve tried allergy medicine and nasal sprays.

Could you possibly have anything to do with thyroid or parathyroid??

Constant post nasal drip starting from when I wake up to when I sleep.

The only way to know is to check for thyroid function, you need to ask your PCP for a referral for TSH, FREE T3 and FREE T4.

When you have these your doctor can help you decide whether you have a thyroid problem.

Thank you. My tests came back ok, but I think I need to test the parathyroid too? I have all the symptoms of thyroid deficiency and it’s in the genes but the tests always come back “ok” within range ...

Do you know of any other causes of the constant itching and mucous? Besides some sort of mysterious year round “allergy” that nobody can seem to figure out.

Not every "normal" TSH is normal for you, just falling within normal reference range is not enough, can you post the actual results of the TSH test?

Also try to convince your doctor to test you for thyroid anti bodies; TGab and antiTPOab.

Best,
