Yes that is a few nodules. In worse case if it were cancerous, thyroid cancer is one of the most curable form of cancers.
They biopsy anything bigger than 1cm.
If nodules ever cause the thyroid to leak, the person becomes hyper, not hypo.
A hashimoto hypo thyroid makes less hormone because the internals of the organ are damaged from antibodies, not nodule related.
Many people with hashimoto have no nodules and many with nodules have no hashimoto.
