I've never heard of that. I'm on the generic Synthroid and instructions say to take it every day. Ask your pharmacist what he/she thinks. Those instructions don't sound right.

Can you please post the actual results of blood tests that you performed and the amount of Levothyroxine that you are taking ?

I am taking 0.1 mg of Levothyroxine and my test results. My TSH is 0.010 (Low), T4 is 3.120 (High), My Alkaline Phos is 180.0 (High)

Don't know if that helps you at all. lol

You should be testing for FT3 and FT4

Your TSH is below the low end of range. You're looking hyper.

Do you have the lab results from when you were first diagnosed and prescribed the levothyroxine?
Were you showing hypo then?
And as Lainie said - usually thyroid meds are taken every day....same dose.

Dear Christie,

According to your TSH of 0.01 you are taking more Levo than you need according to these values you need to reduce 50 mcg per week and to repeat the test in 6 weeks, if the test says < 0.01 then your doctor would be right in reducing 100 mcg per week!!

If you have hashimoto's disease then you should aim at a TSH of some where between 1.5-3 .

Best,
