Just home from the hospital (Cleveland Clinic) had my surgery, all went great my ileostomy is working wonderful. I feel so good cant believe i waited so long to get this done. Im off all the Meds i was on just now weaning off the Prednisone. In 6 months i have the options to get the J-pouch not sure if i will yet im just enjoying being pain free drug free and being able to go places without fear of an accident. Life is good!! Nurse42

Lialdia 4tabs/day

Prednisone 40mg in Am just started this week

Imuran 150mg

Folic acid

protonix 40mg

Remicade - will have my 19th infusion on December 27.
Imuran - 100 mgs....taken before bedtime

Hi nurse42..Great to hear you're back from your surgery and recovery is going well.

It's good for us to hear that surgery, albeit scary, is a positive option for us.

Please keep us posted as to how you're doing.

*Heather*Status:mini flare June 23* 6asacol daily+ Salofalk (tapered every 4th night)
~diagnosed January 1989 UC (proctosigmoiditis)
~5ASA: Asacol + Salofalk enemas (increase for flares tapered to maintenance)
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed
~Probiotic 2 (Natural Factors Protec) + 1 (Primadophilus Reuteri) at bedtime
~Natural Factors Multi Digestive Enzymes with supper
~Ranitidine,Pariet (reflux) Effexor XR 75mg;  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma)
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)
My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS"  worth it !!!
