I read some interesting comments regarding Dr Albert Snow. My 15 yr old son was diagnosed with UC dec 2017. A 6 ft 4 athlete lost 30 1bs in a few weeks. Nothing stayed in his body and the usual blood, excessive washroom visits, extreme fatigue etc. Became his life. Dr snow was instrumental in his healing. Our family experience is a true testament that he indeed is knowledgeable, understands leaky gut (yes, many drs confirm this well known condition; dr oz had a very interesting show on this subject) and does have the answers. Supplements and diet was huge. Dr snows prescribed protocol gave my son his life back. I support the medical profession and my son was under a gi dr who prescribed drugs to provide some relief. The drugs mask the symptoms, but is definitely no cure. When drugs stop working, then you get a new drug...when they stop working, you lose your colon. Yes, at our children's hospital his dr confirmed that he removed kids colons.... I am thankful that drugs and antibiotics have done wonders for many sick people. Much of the medical industry is fundamental to the well being of society. However, when it comes to the gut; I believe drugs are not the answer. My son is doing great. No drugs or supplements. I believe that many illnesses start in the gut. I often wonder why a lot of illness can be cured, but chrones and uc is an incurable disease. How long must a cancer patient be in remission before it is determined a cure? Is it possible that these diseases are conditions? As parents, my husband and I (in our 50's) never hospitalized, no ailments, take no drugs, found it difficult to believe our only child has a disease...denial??? I don"t think so. I shed tears when I think of the children who lost their colon...my son has his and is an active hockey player, swimmer, mountain biker etc. Don 't hesitate to contact dr snow. Take it from this Canadian mother, the phone call to dr snow made all the difference.
Oh come ON. Last year there was a guy on here who died because he delayed getting proper medical attention for his colitis.
You can still play hockey swim mountain bike etc etc after surgery. No need to cry for those children because they're probably much happier than those of us still fighting flare ups.
Saying "I believe" is not evidence for other people. Many children believe in santa and the tooth fairy, does that make it real?
Many people on this forum have a severe disease and encouraging them to drop their meds for diet and supplements is incredibly dangerous. Diet and supplements work for a small MINORITY of patients with UC.
Cashing in on people's pain and suffering by offering expensive supplements that don't work is also pretty amoral behaviour
. If you(/the Snow man) have found the recipe for a cure, how about
making it public so everyone can try it?
There are others on this forum who already had surgery who offer great support and speaking about
surgery in derogatory terms is disrespectful.
Sorry mods if this post crosses the line.
