He looks like a scam artist to me. Many patients with chronic illnesses, like us, are desperate for solutions and will spend on products or services with little or no evidence of them working (no scientific research etc.).

If this Dr Snow could cure Ulcerative Colitis then he would be a Nobel Laureate and his name would be all over the news.

It seems to me that a number of things can be true at the same time:

-No one seems to know what is causing UC. There are theories, but no proof.
-It seems that some folks get their UC under control with medication
-It seems that some folks get their UC under control through a dietary/alternative approach
-I also seems that for some folks the only option seems surgery.
-It also seems that there are number of charlatans who exploit the desperation of UC sufferers

I fall into the 3rd category (dietary/alternative approach), as introduced by my holistic doctor. She didn't make that much money on me (a few hundred bucks), and it worked for me. If you google "ulcerative colitis scd diet" or "ulcerative colitis stage 1 diet kaufmann" you can come across other folks who were lucky enough to get their UC under control with a dietary/alternative approach.
Diagnosed in 2004 - Ulcerative Colitis
Highly restrictive SCD Diet and later on Anti-fungal Diet (a variation of the SCD diet) since 2005
In remission since 2006
Added back (in moderation) favorite regular food
Take daily home made yogurt, Psyllium Powder (seed and husk), spring water instead of tap water

I'm being from India, it is common for me to see the people who believe in all these magical cures. But it is surprising for me to see that the people like them does exists even in developed countries. Let me tell you my cousin story who has epilepsy and wanted try a natural cure as proposed by some charlatan. he told him to stop regular medication while on his treatment for 4 months. At the end of fourth month, now he is in hospital fighting for his life.

So, If you really want to try something new you can but do not try to stop your regular medication. Otherwise you may going to put your self in danger of having severe disease or even worse.
