pains in joints and lumps...

hi.... since i soped working for the xmas hoildays i started getting bad pains in my knee and shoulder and have 2 lumps on my feet on on each foot and in the same place... just below my little toe i have a red lump growing. the pains in my knee and shoulder comes and go.. same with the pain in the lumps. it hurts most when i have shoes on and when my knee is not moving around. i can't get in to see my doctor until after new year so i was wondering if any one could advise me on what it could be from or why? i have had colitis for over a year now and take acasol and azathaprine. could it be any connection to the tablets...? much appricated....

Are the red lumps on your feet warm and swollen, or just hard lumps? Joint pains are common to UC and also are side effects of some drugs, so it can be hard to tell the difference. If the lumps are warm and swollen, though, it could be an infection. That would be serious, and you might need to see a doctor sooner.

Moderate to severe left-sided UC (21 cm) diagnosed 2001.
Intolerant to Asacol and rectal mesalamine preparations.
On Prednisone then Entocort 2001-2006 with only short periods off. 
Current meds are Colazal, Azathioprine and Remicade.
In remission since April, 2006. Remicade has been my wonder drug.

That sounds a bit like Gout. Are you male or female? But I agree that anything red or swollen should be seen by a doctor especially if you on an immune suppressing drug.

Yeah, I was thinking of the possibility of septic arthritis, too. Very nasty, and best treated early.
