LOL...it seems I have made a typo...i should have added "pain/discomfort"..in the butt or area.
I was wondering if you have hemorrhoids, a fissure (a cut in the anal folds) or even a fistula (caused from an abscess that pushes and creates a "tunnel" out where it can drain.
Have you had it checked out by a doctor?
I read somewhere that some people who have anal leaking are on cholesterol meds...just wondering if it started around the same time you began taking them?
How's your fibre intake? Do you take fibre supplements of any kind? They may be able to help with that.
You should, however, see the doctor if it gets worse...even to do a swab to see if it can actually be "treated".
Regarding the itchiness, it might even be a yeast infection...or if you have a fissure or even a hemorrhoid (external) it might irritate it causing the itching. An antifungal ointment could help.
I hope you get to the bottom of it ;-)
