First of all Im sorry if i post to many questions.  But Im curious what you would do...Ive been bleeding for about 6 weeks now with no other symptoms..been using colocort (sometimes rowassa) for about 5 weeks now.  It seems to me like it is stopping it from getting worse, but not getting any better.  I take 9 asacol a day.  I was hospitalized after  a terrible flare this past summer.  then I went a month or two of feeling great, then the bleeding started again.  I have had UC for 16 years with not to much trouble at all..I sure dont want to get BAD like I was!  Maybe prednisone would nip it?  Maybe I need to look into Imuran or remicade?  I dunno..Like i said I just bleed with no other symptoms but I know it can turn bad fast!  I think if i didnt worry about it so much it would help to.  Seems like its all I think about.  I eat a pretty normal diet..I do eat yogurt regularly and have been trying to drink more water.  I do have an apt Jan 14th to see the Dr.  Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks

Can you talk to your doctor about increasing your Asacol to 12/day? Not sure if it would help at all, but that's the dose I'm on (it's also the maximum dose). Hope the bleeding lets up soon. I understand how frustrating and worrisome that can be.

My suggestion would be to try using the Rowasa every night for a couple of weeks and see what the results are. If that doesn't help, try the Colocort the same way. Your note sounds as if you're switching off. When you're bleeding and scared, it's easy to panic and throw everything at it. But if you're not using the same thing consistently, you can't tell if it's working.

You can try using both.  colocort in the am and rowasa at night.
