Howdy!

I have run into this problem before, since I have a home here in California and one in Montana. I have had to have my prescriptions transferred to a pharmacy in Montana and it wasn't even the same chain... I think it wouldn't be a problem to have your prescription filled someplace else. Just call in advance to make sure they have it in stock.

   Good luck!!

Ive also forgot to have an RX renewed. The pharmacist looked at my years of being on the same med and gave me a couple doses from my future rx to tide me over while he waited for the doc to call in the renewal. I am not sure if they are allowed to do this or if he was just being super super nice but it doesn't hurt to ask. Then when the renewal was called in and I picked up my next bottle it just had the pills he had already given me missing from it.

You know it all worked out. They were able to get in touch w/ my GI and had my script later that day.

My dad got snowed in once out of town w/out his bipolar meds and the pharmacist there looked up his meds and gave him some to get him through a couple of days. There are some nice ones out there!

I am glad it all worked out! I actually had a "sigh" of relief for you!  :)   I know it can be a helpless feeling when you are without your meds and afraid of the consequenses of not being able to get them on time
