Thank for all who have replied.

I have been having allot of flares lately.

Mostly blood and mucus especially at night. I cannot control it.

I do not feel week I do not feel dehydrated.

But should I go to the hosptial?

When should you go to the hosptial for severe ulcerative colitis?

If you ever feel you need to go then you probably should go. Don't wait until it gets out of control or worse things can happen. The worse they can do is send you back home right?

You're right I don't feel dehydrated may I ask you guys how servere have you guys gotten a flare up? Does Remicide and Imuran end the flares pretty quick?

Do I have to be on Remicide and Imuran for the rest of my life?

I can't comment on Remicade but I know 6mp has kept me out of severe flares. I still flare but I can usually get it under control more quickly now. But yes, most times when someone starts Imuran or 6mp, it's lifelong unless other circumstances have to make you stop.

You should call your gastro. Describe what's going on and let him/her decide. He/she will either make an appointment to see you in their office or will tell you to go to the ER.
