I tried this about a year ago and didnt give it much of a trial. Has anyone tried it and had success with it, or none at all?

You can google it and get more info on it. A guy on curezone said that he has been symptom free since he started taking it.

BTW it tastes horrible.

Well I've never heard of it but googling states that it's a natural anti-inflammatory...I drink chamomile everyday for the anti-inflammatory affects of it, and it doesn't have much of a taste...if you want to drink the yerba mate tea you could try adding honey to it (it's also a natural anit-inflammatory as well as antibacterial and antifungal) then maybe you could stand drinking it better.

It can take a long time to notice effects from anything and that includes tea.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

I tried it once before I got UC when a South American guy spoke to one of my college classes and brought some for the students to try. I didn't have UC at the time though. I think they sell flavored mate, but I'm not sure where to find it.

I drink yerba mate and other mate's on a regular basis. I like tea. I didn't know about the anti-inflammatory factor. Something to keep in mind is that it is one of the higher caffinated teas so if you don't tolerate caffeine I would stay away. There are other flavor or kinds of mate. If you like loose tea try i have a teavana store near me so it's easier but soo good.

I haven't noticed the tea helping me in any way. Been flaring for over year.
