I enjoy using the dry sauna at my local gym. Any reason this might be contra-indicated for UC? The only issue I can foresee is dehydration. Likewise, anyone think that the sauna has benefit for their UC?
Moderate pan-UC, diagnosed 12/07.
Asacol 4 x 3, Colocort nightly, probiotics, fish oil, vitamins.

I use a suana regularly, it should cause you no problems.  I find it very relaxing and enjoyable as well as a way to cleanse the body in a way that ordinary soap and water can not.

saunas...ugh....suffocating and stink....not on a list of must-dos...but many like them.

I found this that you should check out beforehand.

I never liked saunas either, to hard to breathe in there. But it never bothered my Uc in anyway or form. In fact, it sort of soothed my Uc because heat tends to make my gut feel better.
