I recommend typing in Google Scholar "Lactobacillus plantarum" and also ulcerative colitis, IBD, etc. to see if there is any legitimacy (http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&lr=&q=Lactobacillus+plantarum+ulcerative+colitis
). Using the word "reverse", I agree, maybe a bit strong when it comes to UC, but dysbiosis is an unbalance of microbial colonies (which should be reversable)--only it is not conclusive it is the only cause or initiation of UC and the rest. However, there does seem to be a link and people tend to get better from various probiotics, suggesting UC and the rest have a bacterial unbalance. L. plantarum is contained in some of my supplements and sounds like it is worth taking, at a glance.
