Hi Judilyn - If I remember correctly, I think you said that you tried Imuran for 1.5 years, but that it never really did anything for you. I was wondering, if you're willing to share, what was it like for you during those 1.5 years? I got the sense that you were still functioning, able to go to work, but not do too much else. Is that correct? I am wondering only because I am on Imuran but not getting into remission. Thanks.

Pancolitis dx 3/07
9 Colazal a day (used to be on 12 Asacol, don't think Asacol helped)
150mg Imuran/day (steroid dependent, reached this dose 9/07)
Various vitamins, bit of fish oil, a probiotic.

Just a side note...it took a good 4-5 months for Imuran to kick in for me.

The Imuran helped a little. Everything I was taking helped a little, and I went from 25 to about 10 trips to the bathroom each day. This was with Colazal, Entocort and Imuran all at the same time. Yes, I worked and rested so I could go back to work. My employer was good about letting me work from home on really bad days. The work I do is an important part of my feelings of self-worth, so it was really important for me to keep working.
