Someone care to give me a brief summary of what to cut out of my anti fungal diet?  Thanks!  I know bread and sugars are the main culprits but anything else?  I'm not looking into going hardcore anti fungal - just something to help me start on the right road while I take the Olive leaf Extract.

Here's a quick list of things to consider omitting:

  • sugar, all types: brown, white, syrup, molasses, honey, fructose, lactose, maltose, dextrose etc. Check all tins and packets,
  • yeast products: bread, pizza, buns, breadcrumbs, marmite, Oxo, Bovril, Bisto, gravy mix etc. flavoured foods i.e. crisps and foods containing citric acid.
  • Refined grains, white flour products, cakes, biscuit, pasta, cornflour, cereals etc. all prepared breakfast cereals except Shredded Wheat and purpose made options like Kashi
  • cured and smoked products: bacon, meats, kippers etc.
  • fermented products, vinegar, pickles, chutney, soya sauce, alcohol
  • tea, coffee, ovaltine, chocolate, etc and all malted products
  • cows milk, cheese cream except yoghurt and cottage cheese
  • fruit, fresh, juice or dried (some fresh fruit can be added after three weeks under the direction of your therapist)
  • mushrooms
  • peanuts and peanut products

Lol, don't worry - I had no intention of trying apple cider! I know it doesn't sit well with me.

If you want further info on fungus as well as a diet, check out www.knowthecause.com and follow the FAQ link. There you'll find a diet in a nutshell that I followed to get well again. Lots of other useful info on the articles links as well.

You need to look under the "about us" heading at the top of the page and highlight the 'frequently asked questions' section on the www.knowthecause.com website to get the fungus info and diet. It's not clearly indicated as 'FAQ' on the home page like it once was........

Interesting stuff, thanks for the link Kim. I went to that link earlier when I did a search but I didn't know it had the FAQ's on there.
