Hey guys its a new year and time to think of more ways to improve our health and lives.

Ok my resolutions are just things i need to work on, so here they are:

  1. Go to bed at a decent hour.  I stay up to at least 12....not good.
  2. Make better choices in my diet.  Cheating is a problem with me.
  3. Exercise more.  Haven't been to the gym in a while.
  4. Gain some weight.  I'm a little on the thin side.
  5. Read more.
  6. If possible take a vacation.

Ok people lets hear them!!

You might give me some ideas....lol.

I hope everyone is doing well or at the least improving.

One day at a time......

I don't make resolutions either because I always let myself down! But I am making a more intensified effort to get into shape by excersizing more.

No real resolutions for me either.

Although I am trying to pay more attention to what I'm doing. To make sure I follow things through. Like a major pet peeve - filling the car with gas and forgetting to reset the trip odometer. Second major pet peeve - putting an entry in the wrong account in Quicken (something that should have gone under one CC and I put it under a different one).

Although my totally sporadic, scatterbrained mind did have a great discovery today! We had some plumbing issues and I happened to notice what I thought was some trash on the ground while I was out playing ball with the girl dog. Turned out to be a second (hidden) cleanout for our sewer. We got the clog cleared out and I've never been so happy to see poo flow away!!! LOL!
Pan-colitis and GERD diagnosed May 2003

Osteopenia (hip and spine) from prednisone use.  Started Azathioprine because I was steroid dependent.

My goal is to make some changes toward being more active exercise-wise and to start sewing again. A few people I know have health problems, newly diagnosed and serious...I'm trying to live in the moment, for being past 50..the realisation that life is short hits home.
One never knows what tomorrow will be like...

Otherwise, I'm doing/feeling OK.

I guess just to try to do more exercise. I've been in remission since November and last summer I was up and down a bit. I started going out on my bike a lot in late spring last year, strangely even when I wasn't great when I was on my bike for an hour or two I very rarely had to get to the toilet, often had to as soon as I got home though! I don't know why that would be, but I'm not complaining, and as I'm in remission now I'm trying to get out on my bike as often as I can, although the excess rain isn't helping!

So, not that it's really a resolution, I'm really trying to get on my bike at every opportunity, I even bought myself a GPS computer thing so I can review my trips!
Diagnosed 2002, had first endoscopy on my 27th birthday!!
Preds x 5mg a day
Azathiaprine x 200mg a day
In remission since November 2007 - best since diagnosis

I've resolved to make the usual resolutions... exercise, eat better, be 100% compliant with my meds, keep in touch with friends/family. But my most important resolution is to re-assess my resolution every 1st of each month. So I've basically resolved to make resolutions each month and see how I'm doing. It's like a mini-fresh start each month so that if you do lose track and fall off your goals, you can give yourself another chance at the beginning of the month. What do you guys think about that??
