I had the weirdest experience that started on Thursday.   I woke up feeling just fine, got ready and headed out on my day of errands. Then as the morning went on things started to not feel fine anymore.  I started to get pain up in my stomach area.   My first thought was that I was getting a gastritis again.  But I couldn't understand it, I had been taking my nexium religiously and not even on the pred anymore...but "whatever".   So I started downing the maalox.   Still getting worse...my stomach pain was also causing extreme abdominal bloating and the pain was begining to affect my whole abdomen.   All I wanted to do was come home and go to bed.  So I started to wonder what else was going on...either a stomach bug or a flare up.   But no nausea or vomiting and no diarrhea.   Then started to get headache and chills and my whole body started to hurt.   More than just my usual joint pains,  my skin hurt too.  I got to where I couldnt even hardly walk upright, everything in my whole abdomen hurt. Took my temp and it was 100.2 (I don't usually run temps)  I kept doing checks on myself,  I used my stethoscope to listen for bowel tones to be sure I didn't have an obstruction,, and checking for rebound tenderness to be sure didn't have an appendicitis.   Luckily I could continue to rule that out.  (otherwise another darn trip to the darn ER).  The next day (friday) it was very slightly improved,  but still pretty painful.  Still no nausea or vomiting or D.  I went to urgent care...all the xrays and bloodwork came out ok.   The pain has contined to improve everyday since then,  and still no nause or vomiting.    The doctor didn't think it was a stomach bug,  because of that.  But I think it was a stomach bug, no more abdominal pain.  But I"m worried a bit today,  once this morning I did have a bit of D (but no blood or mucous).  I'm so hoping I don't get a flareup.   Everytime I have a bug,  I have a flare,  but the flare usually begins sooner than this...so plz keep your fingers crossed for me!!  Thank you!!

You're a nurse right? Sometimes I think that nurses and doctors make their own worse patients ;) I once had that happen to me but minus the fever. It lasted for about 3 days but the pain would come and go intensely. I never had any other symptom nor did I ever bring it up to my doc. I'm sort of stubborn that way I guess. But last night, that sort of happened to me again. I have this weird pain in my stomach area (in combination with my Uc pain) and last night I also had sharp shooting pokes on my right side. I didn't know what the heck was going on. But, I have other Uc symptoms too. But I will keep my fingers crossed for you that this isn't going to turn into a flare!
