I've never had it happen to me, but have had extreme nausea.
Have you discussed it with your doctor? I think since it's an event that happens during bms, you should possibly get an upper gastro series done to make sure nothing else is going on in there.
I would suspect that the pressure from expelling bms could be forcing the sphincter at the stomach/esophagus to
open a bit and release some contents.
Definitely get it checked out and possibly the doc will put you on some meds to prevent the acid from causing damage to the parts above the stomach.
Are you not on any meds at all honeybee?
Are your symptoms diarrhea or constipation with urge to have bms?

My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS" worth it !!!
