Hey guys! I've posted about this in the past. about 18 months ago regular bloodwork showed my thyroid was overactive. I has some symptoms (no menstration, shaky palms, etc). I had bloodwook repeated 3 times and it showed my #s were only slightly over the range and I should watch it.
That leads up to the last month. I've had an unexplained weight gain (absolutely no change in diet and I regularly exercise). I'm also beyond exhausted. Went to bed at 8:30 last night and excluding a couple of potty breaks slept until 7:30. I'm still tired. Working out helps some. Oh and for the record not pregnant!
Anyway I'm due for GI bloodwork (since I'm on Imuran). I l/m w/ my GI's nurse asking if they could add on thyroid just to be sure it hasn't gone in the opposite direction. Haven't heard back from her. I'm probably overreacting but I went ahead and made an appt. w/ my primary for Feb. I figure if my GI doesn't want to ck the thyroid I can get her to do it.
I have a feeling I'm being a hypochondriac here though I still have no explaination for gaining weight out of the blue (about 5 pounds). Thanks for letting me think outloud!
