Count me in too. I have acid reflux and I think I've been suffering from gastritis as well. Gonna call the Gi soon for that I think. I blame it on all the medications I'm on because before, I never ever had anything wrong with my stomach. I never even got nauseas.

I just went for a gallbladder ultrasound on monday and don't think there are any stones, however still have a little bit of pain, though has gotten slightly better after a week on prilosec. other than that I get heartburn a few times a month which I think is food related....meaning red sauces etc.

I have reflux...it's better lately since taking some digestive enzymes. I still take Zantac on occasion, but not daily.

I don't know if it's UC-related...but at least I can treat it to help prevent further problems.

I've had GI problems since I was a teen and I'm 50!  I had gastric ulcers by 18 and at 24 I was diagnosed with spastic colon, reflux and hiatal hernia.  I used to joke that I was screwed from the time the food went in until it eventually came out.  Little did I know UC would happen in my late 40s.  I had never even heard of UC.  It started right after I quit smoking. I will occasionally have acid reflux if I eat too close to bedtime, but I had a positive test for H-pylori several years ago and successful treatment.  Usually a couple of Tums will do the trick.

Age/Sex:  50 & female
Diagnosed:  2005 pancolitis
Medications:  800 mg. Asacol twice a day - in remission; Two 1200 mg. fish oil supplement nightly,
1 Dulcolax stool softener nightly, Effexor-XR 150 mg. daily

well for the past year i have been having alot of problems with acid indigestion havent been diagnosed with gerd or anything they just keep giving me pills, nexium did nothing for me,prevacid made my stomach hurt, protonix helped but i had to watch what i ate. but my insurance wont pay for protonix dont no why. now i'm just suffering it seems like when i start getting problems with acid indigestion i get bloated my stomach burns and i get alot of gas that is hard to pass. my left side down in my tummy is tender i cant take this and my whole top abdoman sometimes feels like it is drawing up anyone else feels this way or have felt this way? when all this started i thought i was getting ready to go into a flare from the uc but it is fine so far. and was wondering if anyone lives in the oakland maryland area i'm getting ready to be moving and need to find a good gi doc thanks
