Hey Marty,

Just the same really mate, yep that Tens machine is a great bit of kit, but also I have bought s 'Scholl' neck warmer/massager it's a great bit of kit.

The doc started me on a Amatriptyline, it's another antidepressant which apparently works as a pain killer that works on the nerve endings, I am on 10 mg of that for 3 days, then increase to 20 mg I go back to see him on Monday, no other plans at this time, until they have assessed what the new drug does, I should be increasing up to 50mg within a couple of weeks, hoping it doesn't turn me into a zombie :-)

Take care.

I was on Amatriptyline Dave when i first came to HW.It didn't agree with me at that time unfortunatly. I think i gave it 3 weeks and then they started me on Neurontin. If you keep on all these drugs you'll end up like one of the dudes on Trainspotting:):):)
Have you been able to get out much or are you still stuck to the sofa:)Hope things start working out soon for you buddy!
Marty( your mate in insomnia land)lol

So far the drug seems to be agreeing with me, and you wouldn't beleve it but when I fall asleep I don't wake up during the night, it's better than my sleeping pills :-) I am pretty mobile, I walk a lot and also I'm cycling on my indoor trainer (Tacx) doing 35 minutes nowhere near what I was doing but small steps :-) I had to make some adjustments to the handlebars so that I could sit up straight, but it's working out pretty well.

Sorry to hear about the insomnia, I feel like a new man thanks to the Amitriptyline, but maybe it's early days???? It hasn't done anything for pain as yet but the doc did say I won't notice anything until I get the dose up.

Othere than that all is well, I'm smiling away and wishing my numbers would come up on the lottery soon.
