Does anyone have recommendations for pill cases that have extra-large compartments? I'm currently using one from CVS but it doesn't fit all my pills and I *never* remember to take the ones I can't fit inside. I need to be able to fit the following:

-9 Asacol @ 400 mg
-1 Zoloft @ 100 mg
-1 Iron
-4 large multivitamins (you're supposed to take 4/day, I'm not ODing I swear)
-2 large fish oil
-2 Prednisone @ 10 mg
-It would be nice to have a little extra room in case I start taking anything else :)

At the moment, I can fit everything *except* 2 of the multivitamins and the 2 fish oil pills.

Go to Walmart or other stores/pharmacies and see what they offer.

I have three different pill containers...all are M - F, but two are large, one is small. The small one, I put in my meds...which holds 2-URSO, 6-Asacol, 1-Effexor. That's for two dosages (morning and night).

The large ones are for my supplements, and I've labelled them AM and PM.
The AM one holds 3 vitamin C capsules, 1 Multi-vitamin, 1 zinc, 1 Q-10 capsule and 2 Cal/Mag/D caplets.

The PM one holds 3 vitamin C capsules, 1 multi-B, 1 zinc, 1 betacarotene, 2 cal/mag/d caplets.

They're available...just try to see what your needs are and get more than one.

I hadn't thought about using more than one. That's an idea. There's no Walmart where I live, but I can check at other pharmacies/online. I just though someone might have a recommendation for a super awesome pill case.

You may want to try Home Depot. They have these plastic containers for nuts, bolts, screws, etc. They do come in many sizes. This may sound strange but they may have what your looking for Good luck.

Cozy.

Just keep in mind where you want to keep it....as well as ease of use.

The container for nuts, bolts..etc can be a good one...just don't drop it when the lid is open and you're taking out your meds.

I stack mine, much easier to keep them in a small area than a big wide one with all my meds in it.

At least you have some options...try not to have only one thing in your mind when looking...

My mom and I saw a HUGE one at Cub foods (Which is basically a midwestern grocery store) and she was joking that with all my meds I should get it. I would check grocery stores or even online.

This is one I'm considering getting. It's rather large, but holds TWO WEEKS worth of meds :) I think it would be great for our annual long trek north for hunting. If I remember correctly, someone on the site initially recommended it.

The one thing I hate about the daily pill cases is that the lids always seem to open in my purse. Then I end up with pills all over the bottom of my purse, and I can't remember what I've taken, etc. So, I purchased tiny ziploc bags from the craft store and labeled them Sunday - Saturday. They work great because they don't open until I am ready to open them.
Current Medications:
- Asacol (4 pills, 3x per day)
- Rowasa (1 enema daily, as needed)
- Folic Acid (1 mg, 1x per day)
- Calcium (600 mg, 2x per day)
- Prenatal Vitamin (1x per day)
- Iron (2x per day)

Speaking of pill bags - you can usually find some called EZ dose at pharmacys or pharmacy sections of superstores. I use these to keep spare doses in my purse - and I keep one with Tylenol as well. Just an alternative to ziplocs.

I have an extra large one that I got at Target, and I know they had another AM/PM one that was even larger.
