i am wondering if people with uc have the bleeding issue more than people with chron's-
Mom to 19 year old daughter diagnosed 11/07.
asacol 2 3x daily-discontinued
colazal 3 3x daily/switched to 4 4x daily
proctofoam 3x daily/1-2xdaily
mesalamine enema 1x daily
canasa suppostiories 3x daily /switched to court supp 1-2x daily
culturelle probiotic 1 daily
chewable vitamin
hydrocortisone enema at bed time 6mp50

Typically it is more common for bleeding with UC than with CD because of the colon involvement, with exeption to us CDers who have disease activity in the colon....when there's disease activity in the colon then one is more prone to bleeding regardless if it's from UC or CD.

Of course not every UC or crohns-colitis sufferer experiances bleeding either, alot has to do with how severe disease acitvity is.
