I've had a colonoscopy before, but my new GI doc wants to do both together on Tuesday.  What can I expect?  Thanks

Not much difference - although they will ask you to put a "bite block" in your mouth before you "fall asleep". This allows them to feed the endoscopy hose through.

I figure - if I'm going to prep for a c-scope, they might as well check the upper parts too!

Best of luck :)

I agree. It will be a nice nap for you, you won't know what is going on. When it's over your throat and bum may hurt a bit. Have some ice cream or sherbert waiting at home just in case. It really is best to get them done at the same time, so much easier for everyone.

I agree, I just had them done together before Xmas. I was a little sore the next day, the doc didn't use nearly enough meds for me and I was awake the entire time. But for the sake of preping and fasting it's much easier to do both together.
