Nice thread - we also have great friends who have been so supportive since this happened. I have a sister who lives nearby too. Unfortunately both our parents are gone - I do miss being able to pick up the phone and speak with my Mom over things. My Mother-in-Law was a real sweetie too.
However, since we relocated to Florida and both Moms had gotten on in years with their own problems before passing away, we probably would have not confided too much as we would have given them something else to be worrying about
It has been 3 and 3 1/2 years since we lost both of them but I still miss being able to pick up the phone and hear their voices. So for those of you who still have them and can be comforted by them that is a gift in of itself even when you're not doing all that great.
