This doesn't really surprise me. I was a waitress for 4 years at several restaurants and there are definitely some not-so-sanitary things that happen back in the kitchen, and some not-so-cleanly people who worked with me. heh. I bet those germs are all over the plates, drinks and other food, too, if they're on the lemons. I still love to go out to eat though.

True story: while the son of a friend was in high school, he got a p.t. job at the most nationally well-known fried chicken chain eatery-- at a branch in southern CA. After a few months working there he advised: "Mom, I really don't think people should eat there. You know what happens if a chicken piece happens to fall on the floor? They still sell it!" / Old Hat (nearly 30 yrs with left-sided UC; currently on 3 Colazal daily for maintenance of remission)
