Ya know when you're on your meds and everything's great and you think, hmph, I will do fine without these horrible meds.  WELL, I am past 8 weeks off Remicade.  I have been having 20+ bms a day for 5 days now!  And pain in my left side of my colon, haven't had that in years!  The only good thing is that I have NO joint pain or body pain.  I feel less tired too, except for the bms tiring me out.  I wish I could take the Remicade again.  I am going tomorrow to try to get the Humira script fixed, I have been through a nightmare trying to get this darn Humira!  It better work!  :(

Ah PC - that really stinks! I am wishing you luck with getting the Humira and taking it. You are going to have to let us know (when you get it that is) how you do on it. Have you been able to sleep at all these past 5 days?

You can probably go back to the Remicade, it's not an automatic thing that you'll develop antibodies if you go off of it, it's just a possibility.
Good luck with the Humira otherwise.

Princess,

If you can't get Humira paid for by your insurance company for your UC then try to get your doctor who is treating you for Psoriatic Arthritis to write you the script for Humira http://www.humira.com/PsoriaticArthritis/Default.aspx

Thanks Keith. I am getting the Humira from my Arthritis doctor already. It wasn't approved for my UC thanks to my insurance. The problem is getting the right doseage. I went today to the Arthritis center to explain why I need 4 shots for the first dose. They think that is too much at once but the Arthritis doctor should approve the higher dose though because he is very understanding about me having UC. He says he will help anyone with an autoimmune disease no matter what type.
