I am a concerned mom. My son is 33 with uc at the age of 10. He suffers with a constant migraine since dec. of 1999 following his 19th surgey resulting with a permanant ileostomy. Does anyone out there suffer with migraines? please respond. mommb

I've always been prone to migraines but I only get them randomly with no rhyme nor reason. Plus I don't get them too frequently so I don't take anything for them except Exedrin Migrain when I absolutely have to. Is your son on any migraine meds? Has he seen a doctor about his migraines?

Oh and welcome to Healingwell btw!

I had chronic migraines when i was a child. They are awful.I still get the very occasional one.The doctor made my mother keep a diary of what foods i was eating. After a few weeks it became very clear that it was chocolat e and cheese that was causing my migraines. So ispent my childhood not eating chocolate, which was a nightmare at eater time.:)
really cold clothes(wet clothes i use) applied to the head really work at easing the awful pain.I feel sorry for your son, they are an awful thing to suffer.I believe that it must be something that he is eating ot taking that is causing them.Maybe anxiety too.
