Hi.  I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with fish oil making flares worse?

Only helped - ran out of my usual and noticed a difference so quickly got the original - superfoodsrx.com I'm sure there are others that are equally as good but I believe there's a definite difference. Someone else said not to have Omega 6, just 3 as the 6 can cause problems. Good Luck!

Absolutely no problems here with fish oils, they are a natural anti-inflammatory, I feel they help in conjunction with the other things that I take on a daily basis.

I don't feel good on fish oil...can't really remember exactly why, however.... Didn't seem to effect UC either way if I remember correctly.

It's done wonders for my skin, hair and nails...alot of people complain about getting fishy burps from them, however I drink alot of water with each pill I take so I've never had that problem with fishy burps.

I couldn't take them either. Made my flare worse with increased D.

Some UCers have problems with any kind of fat - even the healthy sources. You might try lowering your dose to see if you can get acclimated to it, then gradually work your way up to a full dose. Or you could try flax oil as an alternate source of omega-3.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999.

Therapeutic dose sulfasalazine.
Probiotics, l-glutamine and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice and Mucosaheal. Oregano oil antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal.
