Anyone ever gone to a holistic practice and had this done. Basically they use a muscle reflex test to test your bodies organs for problems?

You can google it for more info. I did it today, it seemed neat at times, and fake as well. I am not sure what to make of it, only time will tell.

He said that my liver is at 50% toxicity, I have mold and fungus problems, my adrenals are shot, I am not sleeping well enough, and some other things. He gave me some herbs for each various problems. I did some research on it after the visit, and I am still mixed. It seems that the scientific studies debunk it, but yet he claims to have helped many IBD suffers. He has been in business for 20 plus years, so he has to be doing something right. Honestly, it does seem that he really wants to help.

Here is an example.

Here is something from quackwatch. I really don't like this guy, he seems to be too negative, and doesn't report good things.

My feeling on alternative treatments is if you have the money and the desire, try it. Otherwise if you get to the point where you have to consider sugery you might not be convinced you tried everything possible to achieve long term remission.

As for the Quackwatch doctor, yes he pokes at hokey enterprises but he bases his findings on fact. The majority of those he condems have not done the proper double blind placebo testing to prove their claims. All he is trying to do is to protect the public from businesses, people, and corporations that take emotional and financial advantage of the chronically ill.
