I've had great success with Remicade since starting it last summer. However, I noticed about a week and a half before my last infusion I started hearing the gurgling and feeling the spastic movements of my colon, which for me can signal a flare is coming. I can still "feel" my colon, maybe not quite to the extent I could before the infusion, a couple of weeks ago. I've had diarreah only a couple of times since then but I'm wondering if this means the Remicade is starting to lose its potency with me. I haven't had any blood or mucus but I'm so used to feeling 100% from the Remicade. Is this just a blip or should I ask my GI about upping the dosage?

I started getting symptoms earlier than eight weeks after my infusions and am now on a six week schedule for Remicade. Talk to your GI about increasing your frequency and/or your dosage.
