Flares are defined by disease activity. If you are having symptoms and are on anything other then maintanance meds (such as Asacol, Lialda, or Colazal) then you are in a flare.
Remission is defined by LACK of disease activity. This is when you have no symptoms at all and feel almost normal.
Please read up on Uc. Just because you don't know about
it, doesn't mean it will go away - unfortunately :( The more you know the less scared you will be.
