Due to 10-15 trips to the bathroom back in Nov from constipation, bloody stools, you name it, I had a colonoscopy this Dec and was diagnosed with active colitis. Unfortunately, my gastroenterologist is having family issues so i had no choice

in having to see the other doc in the office. I believe this doc is a dummie and doesn't know much. He finally

decided to try me on prednisone two weeks ago and yea that has slowly helped out as i'm now down to about 5-10 trips to

the bathroom. But now i'm here to ask a question, is there anything out there that works as good or better than prednisone?

Thanks...

Mike

Almost lost colon in 01 due to infection.

7 yr remission between 01-07

active colitis since 12/07

Do you have colitis or Ulcerative colitis? If it's UC, do you know the extent of it? Have you ever tried Rowasa enemas? Or even steroid enemas? When you say you are bleeding, what color is the blood? Dark or light?
