Hello, all,
I just had this lump pop up on my wrist, about the size of a marble.Doesn't hurt. I have one on a knuckle, Dr. saw that one and wasn't worried, I don't remember if he called it a cyst or not. I just read That Red had cysts on her knuckles, is this yet another side symptom of our fun DD? Or is it just that we share our medical issues?
I've been feeling pretty well, started bleeding again, the GI said, " you know that colonoscopy you had scedueled for next month? Talk to the nurse and get it scedueled for next week. "  I was pleased that he got right on it. Just some low end ulcering, I'm on canasa and it is helping, no blood or mucus in weeks. Sometimes lightheaded from the canasa, though, anyone else get that?
Wishing happiness to you all, Merry

I don't have the cysts on my knuckles but the inside finger joints - where they bend on the underside of the knuckles. I have one that keeps popping up on my middle finger joint (right hand) and have already had 2 cortisone shots but it keeps coming back. I go in on Monday for it yet again but this time, I'm going to tell her either to remove it or send me to the hand surgeon. It's pretty painful. As for the one on your wrist, that is called a ganglion cyst and is completely harmless. It's a trauma or action cyst that is filled with clear fluid. You can get these from either hitting your wrist or doing repetitive tasks. I have one too on my right wrist, but it's only the size of a pea and it doesn't hurt. My hubby just had one drained on his right wrist not too long ago about the size of a walnut, not because it hurt but it prevented him from bending his wrist properly. I don't know if they are side effects of this DD or not because I have been prone to cysts my entire life - even pre Uc days.

As for the Canasa, I've never been light headed while I was on that but it can be a side effect. How much longer do you have to be on it?

Thanks for your quick reply, Sherry. The Dr wants me on the canasa a couple more months. It took at least a month to get working. The lightheadedness is annoying, but I'll take it over bleeding.
My job is pretty physical, I'm sure I banged or stressed my wrist in some way. I'll be seeing a doc about it in a few weeks. Oh, I get sick of doctoring!
