I noticed that on my leg(right) in the upper leg area(inner) I am brusing kind of bad. I was wondering if this could be some side effect from the Colazal(generic). I have been on this for about 2 months and it has been doing a great job. I just noticed this and I don't remember falling or hitting anything and was just checking to see if it might be related to this some how.

Posted 3/16/2008 3:46 AM (GMT -6)'s possible....salicylates can cause bruising. I'm prone to bruising, and I find that the upper inner leg (tiny bruise spots) sometimes is caused by my sitting (in my jeans) with my legs crossed at the knee. Must be a seam or crease that's pressing on that area.
My skin is naturally thin/sensitive anyway...every bruise shows like a beacon!

Are you taking any vitamin e? Flax or fish oils? garlic?
All those can cause bruising as well.

You might consider to take vitamin C..supposed to help with that.

I get frequent unexplained bruising too and have brought it up to my GI. He would draw blood and check my blood levels to be on the safe side but luckily it was always ok. Any unusual bruising should be brought up to your doc just to be safe.

I bruise easily too. I make sure to talk to my GI about it if I notice it is getting worse. That being said I tend to run into a lot of things..ha ha.

Thanks. I do sit a lot do to my job. I drive a truck over the road, and sit for hrs at a time. I did notice that my pants were bunching up in the area where I have the brusies. I will keep an eye on it over the next week.
