Has anyone here had any success with Bromelain.

I hear it has great anti-inflammatory properties. Also what is the best dose to use for ulcerative colitis, I have a 500mg bottle with 600 GDU/g worth - is that good enough?

When I came out of my first flare, I was taking only bromelain, curcumin, and boswellia (no meds, as I hadn't been diagnosed yet). I'd keep taking bromelain if it wasn't so expensive. I figure since it's a digestive enzyme as well as an anti-inflammatory, it's not a bad idea.
Diagnosed summer of 2006 with ulcerative proctitis. In remission again, woot!
1x 500mg 5ASA suppositories
2x ~500mg DHA (algal source)
2x 600mg curcumin
1g glutamine

I took it for a while and did notice I had less reflux...a good thing.

I'm now taking has bromelain in it.
