I asked my GI if it was ok if I put aloe in my rectum. He said that there were no studies on such a thing, but if I wanted to make aloe gel enemas that it was fine to him. So last night, I cut open the aloe leaf and scraped out the gel and put it in my proctofoam applicator and used it twice. It felt good at first. Later it started feeling kinda annoying like I felt like my bowels were full. I had less bleeding today than usual. I do not recommend anyone else try this, I am doing it under my doctors supervision and I don't know if there are any risks. I'll try to remember to write back in a few days with any changes.
