Hi! Do you know if you have Ulcerative Colitis or Colitis? Polyp removal should not, to my knowledge, after a year cause bleeding.

Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease which is in the same category as Crohns disease. There are ulcers (sores) in the large intestine and is a life long chronic illness that has remission and flares. Colitis refers to inflammation in the colon with no ulcers. With the right medication and/or diet, colitis can go away in time.

Colitis is inflammation in the colon from either crohns disease (crohns-colitis) or ulcerative colitis....

"col"=colon, "itis"=inflammation.

You should know which type of colitis you have, I hate it when docs are not specific with patients.
