i've been doing great for many weeks now ( pregnancy hormones?) and decided to try eggs yesterday which i have not let pass thru my lips for many many months now. scrambled, and only a small portion.

and today... feeling the pains of my old days. wow, i wasn't expecting to feel those old sensations with one little serving of eggs but there you have it. a pretty nasty cramp during one of my morning BMs and then my stomach was all in knots as we were driving somewhere. the not so nice feeling of "do i have to go? yup. wait, no maybe not. no, i'm okay. wait..."
it makes me thankful that i haven't felt that way in a long time! and reminds me that my (minor) diet restrictions are a good thing.
a note for any newbies reading this... DO A FOOD JOURNAL! it really helps.

hekela,

Could it be the oil and not the eggs or maybe some other food that you ate before/after the eggs?

Eggs are about the only thing I can tolerate in the mornings. I get bad reactions to cereals and bread so my breakfast options are fairly limited.

It's all too easy to go back to foods you know are bad for you - walking past a takeaway, a devilish voice in the back of my mind whispers "just ONE burger couldn't hurt, surely..."

Cramped up and stuck on the toilet a few hours later, I realise that this is in fact not true :-) . But it will happen again...

I will have issues with eggs - at times. I don't know what will set my body off about the eggs one day - and not the next - same recipe, same ingredients. I attribute it more to IBS than IBD.

I hope you're feeling better today!

I wonder if the yolks effect a body differently than the whites...

Just goes to show how individual this DD is!
