Since my last visit to the Doc we've been tapering my Pred down.  I've gone from 40 down to 15mg a day and now I have a flare starting.
It started right after I foolishly ate some green chillie.  Okay, a lot of green chillie.  I've never really had any green chillie so I thought at first that it was just my body's way of telling me I was retarded for eating that stuff but now that its been four days and I went from just unpleasent BMs 1 or 2 a day to now today 6 BMs 4/6 with small ammounts of blood.  I had heard mucas mentioned before and now I think that I'm having some mucas like substances in the toilet water.
I'm thinking about going back up to 20mg of Pred and seeing if that slows things down.  Also I'd like to take some Imodium AD for the D to see if I can resume a quasi-normal day.
Any thoughts on those two ideas?

Give your GI a call and see what s/he suggests. Messing around with pred is probably a bad idea. Plus, you are paying that GI good $$, so make 'em earn their keep!

I get really bad diaree after eating any kind of pepper or chile. It can last from 1 to 3 days. I avoid them like the plague. My diet diary "proved" that was the cause.
