Ugh...I swear I am in a daze lately. I don't know what is going on. The only thing I have switched med wise is my acid reflux script. I went from Nexium to Zegerid. Anyway I just feel so out of it. Hazy is the only work I can think of to describe it.

I saw my GI a couple of weeks ago. I've been having some abdominal pain. I showed my GI and he said I pointed to the pancreas area. I'm not really good at anatomy so I had no clue. Anyway my bloodwork showed some "slightly elevated levels." I'm repeating bloodwork next week and then a CT if need be.

I'm going to take a pregnancy test just to be sure. We're not trying and I'm on BC. I don't get my period so I want to double check to be sure.

Thanks for letting me complain. On a happy note the UC is behaving. Now if I could beat this I would be good to go!

Well hopefully it's nothing too serious. Let us know what happens with the bloodwork. It could very well be just the med change and hopefully it's not the pancreas.

Just curious why you went from Nexium to Zegerid and if it is helping... my doc said I had exhausted all acid reflux options (prilosec, prevacid, nexium..) we are now trying protonix and if that doesn't work considering surgery. Its not that the prilosec and nexium didn't work it is just that they only work for 7 years or so and have finally quit. Even though protonix is less strong than Nexium it being a different drug he is hoping it will work. I had never heard of Zegerid until your post and will have to look into it. Thanks.

Definitely not preggers. Whew.

FitzyK23...I have tried every single acid reflux med too. My problem is they start to wear off around mid-late afternoon. My GI said Zegerid is fairly new. He said it has a new type of delayed release that hopefully will help me. I believe it is targeted towards people that have reflux at night. They have a website...check it out.

I go for bloodwork Monday. I usually hear back fairly quickly so I'll let you know. I've always had the fear my body will eventually say no to the Imuran. We'll see...I have my fingers and toes crossed!
