I started flaring last week and this past Sunday, 2 days ago, I had some bloodwork at a local Health Fair. 25 differnent tests for only $20. But the lady who took my blood said it looked strange. It was too dark or brownish. Does anyone think that is b/c i started flaring? THis lady was drawing blood for hours from lots of people, so if she thought my blood looked strange, i'm sure it didn't look normal.

I work with blood a lot and sometimes it depends on what you eat. Did you have a really greasy breakfast or something unusual to eat before the blood was taken? I would definately get to the doc soon.....just to be on the safe side. You don't need another thing to worry about while in a flare. Hope you feel better soon.

Currently on 10mg Prednisone
12 caps of colazal    9 caps Colazal

Whenever I get my blood taken, it looks blackish. My test results always come out fine.

* I had to edit this because I forgot that I do have one problem with my blood tests, they always come out with very high white blood cells.  I don't know if that affects its color, though.  I would see a doctor soon about the tightness in your chest.  I hope you feel better soon!
