Hi Everyone,

I have not been on the site for a while as I have been feeling pretty good.I have been on remicade for over a year now,and wow has it ever helped me. Right from my first treatment I have felt SOOO..much better. The only thing is I feel tired and have absolutely no sex drive. It is really bothering my wife and i know she is blaming herself, but I just don't have the energy or need???I am only 38 years old and it has become something I have no real desire for!!

Is there anyone else on remicade feeling the same way??? confused

I haven't noticed any change in libido at all. This is something to talk to your GI about, and if he has no answers, see your PC doc or a urologist. There are lots of things that can cause loss of sex drive, from medications to high blood pressure to psychological changes.

Hope you find an answer soon, so you can have a whole life.

I noticed a decrease as well, but it wasn't from Remicade...it was definately a uc thing in my case.  Things have improved alot, but sadly...sigh...I'm still not 100% in that department...

If you don't have the energy...well you know the rest...just make sure you're taking your mulitvitamins, drink lots of water and watch what you eat.

I've been on Remicade for a while now and funny thing is I notice it a bit too. I'm 36 and my husband is 33. We've been married almost 7 years and together though for 10 so, he has known all about the UC from the start. I do feel that I am tired a lot and that the disease does take so much out of you. Even with the wonderful medications that are out there. As we all know there are good days and bad.
Hope you find the answers you are looking for and things get better for you!
UC diagnosed in 1985...22 years.
