I have read some of the posts about feeling better after exercise.  I have noticed that even when in a flare when I am doing an activity that requires energy and attention my bowels usually leave me alone.  For example, when at work (I'm a teacher) I have never felt a strong urge while teaching a class, but have felt it right after the class is over.  Or when I'm playing softball, I won't feel the urge during the game but on the way to the car I'll have to stop at the bathroom.  Does anybody else notice this?

The complete opposite I'm afraid.I don't drive,hence I have to walk everywhere.This poses a major problem during a flare,as "accidents" become a worry.

Walking stimulates Peristalsis, which is the motion used by the GI tract to push food through.During a flare, that's not too desirable! However,if it's something that seems to help you, more power to you. This disease is so individual, which I guess is why it can be so hard to treat.

When I am doing something, my Uc doesn't even enter my mind. I think it's because I don't have the time to focus on it so my body behaves. Now on the other hand, if I know I have to be somewhere lets say within a half hour or so, my body revolts on me and makes me go to the bathroom. I call it anticipatory urgency.
