I feel like I have been in a flare ever since I was diagnosed, maybe even before that. I finally got insurance again, so I am back to seeing Dr.s. I had my colonoscopy yesterday and feel really good today. Better than I have felt in a long time. Tomorrow is my first remicade sesion. I am really excited. I feel like I've tried everything under the sun, from all natural to the drugs the Drs keep pumping into us and nothing has worked. I have read on here that a lot of people have had a good reaction, so I am hopeful. Mybe I will bge able to start living somewhat of a normal life again. wish me luck.:):) yeah

Good luck, Tisha. Take something to read. They should have pillows and blankies available in case you want to take a nap.

I have had pretty good luck with Remicade. Since I was switched to every six weeks I am finally having success tapering off of Prednisone. For awhile there I was pretty certain I was steroid dependent, but upping my Remi schedule and taking Culterelle seems to be doing the trick. I am almost in remission -- very occasional feelings of urgency, the rare "near miss." My mornings are still a little rough, but no where near what they had been. I am going for my seventh Remicade infusion this coming Saturday. By the end of next week I ought to be off the Prednisone completely.

Good luck with your infusion. Bring plenty of stuff to keep yourself occupied for a few hours in the chair. I go in the morning uusally and bring myself a breakfast, whatever book I am currently reading, and my Zune loaded with podcasts.

I've been on the regular routine with it, every 8 weeks, and it has worked well for me. I am as normal as I get. I haven't missed a day at work in over a year due to the colitis. It did take 3 treatments before I went into remission, but I've had a great year.

Thank you guys so much. It went well. I also had a bone scan and that went well. Everything good. I think I might even be feeling better already. I am very hopeful. Still having bad pain, but hopefully that will start to subside with the remicade treatments. Thanks again.
