Had to see the Dr. today for chest pains.  I've had a dull ache in my upper left chest for about 2 weeks. My EKG and chest X-ray were normal.  I'll have a thalium treadmill on Friday to completely rule out any heart problems.

He thinks my chest wall is inflamed - probably a by-product of my UC, which currently is being a little troublesome.  The only treatment is anti-inflamatory meds.  But, of course, I can't take anti-inflamatory meds.

Have any of you found a med - either prescibed or over-the-counter - that works for you?

Nope.....any and all anti-inflammatories make me bleed. I may be more sensitive to them then the norm though. Some people can take Naproxen on a random basis or even Celebrex. But anti-inflammatories as a general rule should be avoided by Uc'ers. Sometimes however, we have to take them to help with more debilitating conditions.
