Welcome to Healingwell!

Sorry to hear that you have to suffer with your UC. Have you ever asked your doctor for free samples of meds? Many of the drug companies are willing to help with costs for patients who can't afford meds.

There are lots of people here who have luck with natural remedies as well. Maybe as you look through old posts you'll find something that will work for you...

I used to get my colozal for free, the hydrocort and rowasa enemas, and my asacol while I was in school and first getting into my professional career. Three month supplies at a time. You can find the info directly off the pharm companies website. Will usually require an easy call to them to get the paperwork. Just ask about any patient assistance programs. It will just depend on your salary. There are some internet patient assistant programs that require money, but you can do the same thing for free by going directly to the pharms website. I am now blessed that my wife got great insurance, which picked up my pre-existing condition, lol. My meds alone can sometimes cover the cost of the monthly insurance.

It's really easy.
Here is SALIX's for colazal:

TEVA which covers hydrocort enema and rowasa: Think I had to call them back then:
Proctitis DX 1998
Lialda 1x day
