Just found out yesterday what our baby is. First ultrasound. First child. I did a boy dance in the ultrasound room! lol

Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis March, 07
-Left sided all the way up
-Was on Colazal..it didn't do anything for me. Had horrible flare up...been on lialda and pred since. Seems to be working!
Medications: Colazal 3 pills 3x a day
                   Prednisone
                  Lialda - 2 pills in the morning w/ food. Proctofoam once before bed

Congratulations! I have 2 boys, they are so much fun!
Diagnosed with Left-sided UC in 1995 at age 15, Prednisone, Rowasa & Hydrocort. Enemas, Proctofoam, Sulfasalazine, Asacol, Probiotics, Fish Oil, Aloe Juice, Canasa, Enotcort, Colazol, Anamantle, Remicade, etc... had 1 inch deep rectal ulcer 2004, put on Remicade, August 2007:Increased Remicade dosage-700mg every 6 weeks,diagnosed w/ Psoriatic Arthritis & Fibromyalgia Current meds: Clorazepate, Lomotil,  Tylenol pm, Lyrica started 1/17/08, Flagyl 750 mgs started 4/2/08, Humira started 4/4/08

Congratulations...it's exciting (and alot of work) we kept the first one a secret but I definitely wanted to know what the second one was going to be (first was a girl, second a boy)...get plenty of rest now, you never know how active a baby will keep you...especially over the next 18 yrs or so.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

Congrats!!! I have a one year old boy...they are a lot of fun, but EXTREMELY active!!! I second that, get plenty rest now and watch a lot of movies!
Husband diagnosed with pancolitis in May 2007 at the age of 31

Predisone 40 mg for two months-every time weaned off, symptoms came back, Mesalamine(substitute for Rowesa)enema for 21 days-didn't see results in 14 days so stopped taking it, symptoms seemed to get slightly worse.
Xifaxan-on and off
Current meds. : Humira, Colazal 12/day, Probiotic-Align, Fish Oil
Has never gone into remission

Congratulations!! My first child was a boy too. Then I had a daughter......my life was never the same again! lol Boys are so much fun. Too bad my "baby boy" is now 16 almost 17 :(

Congratulations! I have a 5 1/2 year old daughter, no boys here.... but yes, GET SLEEP/REST NOW! Man, you don't know what tired is until you have a child! And dare I say, you don't know what love is either. Or maybe that's the sentimental mom in me talking. Anyhow- good luck!

Dx'D in 1990. Remission 1991 - 1/2005
Both flares were in extremely stressful times in my life
Colonoscopy 10/2005 80% of Colon diseased, or as I like to say "Intestinely challenged"
*****9/2007 dumped my GI who I refer to as "Satan" New GI, new med TOTAL remission with in 2 weeks.
Colazal 9 capsules a day*****
