I get warts on my eyelids and below my eyebrows. I typically have them frozen off but it is painful and usually leaves a scar. Anyone know any homeopathic methods for wart removal (remembering they are on my eyelids). I'm just embarrassed about them too! Sorry...I'm having a big ole pity party today!

tjf - from what I understand, an enhanced intake of Vitamins A and C are useful in reducing the number of, and severity of wart outbreaks.

I was going to say duct tape but seeing how they are on your eyelids that wouldn't work. I hope you find a solution soon!
Diagnosed 2/29/08 with Mild Universal UC
I've had UC since 2000 but was in remission for most of those 8 years med free
Lialda Colazal & Asacol made symptoms worse
Not taking any more meds for now. Trying a holistic approach.

Tabitha - I have had my warts - which were also on my eyelids - burnt off. Only hurts for a split second and the scar disappeared after a couple of days.

Unfortunately, I now have some more - but for 3 years I had none.

I've heard of people using tea tree oil on warts. (OK, it was just one guy and he brought his own tabouleh or hummus or something to my house along with his own tea tree oil and a variety of other interesting items.) I just googled this and it appears to be a common natural remedy. (Oh, and the guy was really cute, by the way. This was way back before I was married...)

Not sure about the whole "keep away from your eyes" kind of issue, but maybe you could dab it on with a cotton ball.

A good natural foods/product store might have some secret wart-removal lotion you could try!

Good luck. :)

I had a wart on the palm of my hand below my index finger once when I was a kid. It was a really strange looking one though, I still remember it.. It was almost as if it was missing a layer on the top and the inside was exposed and had a bunch of little roots or something inside. I tried pulling some out because I thought that would make it go away. Yuck.

Anyway, I used that Compound W stuff and kept it covered with a bandaid and it went away, and I've never had another wart before

I used to get warts a lot (not on my eyelids) and I used little pieces of banana peel. It was actually pretty effective!

Hi..I've had 13 warts cut out when I was in my teen years. Some warts came up before I was in the hospital for lung surgery and were gone after the tape was removed from the IVs and meds. I found that interesting.

I have one wart on my right index finger that I've had frozen 7 separate times (each time, the doc did it 5 times)...it went away after continually applying Aldara nightly and keeping it covered...(did that after 4of the freezings). It went away each time but returned. Stubborn little so-and-so! I kept asking the doc to cut it out..."no, we don't do that anymore".
"Yes, but...all the other ones I had cut out never grew back!"
"Well, we don't do it."

Sigh.

The dermatologist said that warts wouldn't like us since our immune systems are overactive. Guess fighting warts isn't a high priority..lol!

I'll look through the link you posted pb4...maybe there's something in there I'll try.

Quincy your post made me remember...when I was probably middle school age (many, many, okay many moons ago) I had warts on around my fingernail beds and on the bottom of my feet. I think I battled it for a few months. I remember they freezing the ones on my fingers and digging out the ones of my feet. I literally never saw another wart until I started Imuran. AGH!

I would think freezing them off is probably the best and quickest method.  But if you wanted something else I've always heard duct tape is the best alternative - just cover with a band-aid so it doesnt show.  The skin there is probably tender and thin so you would have to choose one that isnt highly sticky.  Like dont buy the commercial grade.  You could also first stick it on a towel before sticking to your skin to make it less sticky.  Then you could always make up some story about a cut or burn if people ask what happened.

I looked up natural remedies for wart removal and I found that Aloe Vera can help get rid of them. But it has to be the pure form such as what comes from the plant. I don't know if it works or not but it's an idea anyway.

I'm much more apt to put aloe vera on my eyelid than duct tape! I have a feeling the moms at preschool pickup would look at me funny...ha ha! Though that being said when I have them frozen on my eyelids my eye swells shut for a couple of days.

Where would one pick up pure aloe vera?

You can buy the plant if you want. My MIL has one and uses it for so many things. Including burns and insect bites. Handy little plant to have around the house!

I've got a huge aloe in my yard! You're welcome to it - long trip though...

I've had warts in the past - a few frozen off. One on my hand came back and then a few months later just fell off... Then I had another that looked like a mole. They could only tell from the pathology that it was a wart. It was under my watch band...

Warts are weird and frustrating. I hope you find something that works!

I think the jury is still out on whether it's an over-active or underactive immune system that causes issues with us, now I hear it being referred along the lines of "just a messed up/confused immune system"...typically it's people with underactive immune systems that tend to have wart break outs, a boy I know whom has asthma also gets tons of warts, but so did his father apparently and to his knowledge the father has no immune disorder like asthma or IBD, ect.

Hope you find something in the link to help with yours Q...I can't imagine what it's like cuz I've never had one in my life.
