So often we only post when things are going badly or we're having issues.  I'm celebrating a solid month of remission today and by the end of the week I'll be off pred. and have had my 2nd remicade infusion.
My last flare up was so long, 4 months, that I forgot what having a normal bathroom schedule was like.  I have energy again and I'm back up to my normal weight
Hopefully remicade keeps it in check and me in remission and off of steroids. cool
Diagnosed in spring 2005 at age 28
Currently on 12 asacol pills a day + Entocort
40 MG Pred cycle stating 3/26

That is great news! It's nice to hear good things. :-)
Diagnosed 2/29/08 with Mild Universal UC
I've had UC since 2000 but was in remission for most of those 8 years med free
Lialda Colazal & Asacol made symptoms worse
Not taking any more meds for now. Trying a holistic approach.

It's too early to say with remicade (only on my 2nd infusion) but if this keeps up it is completely worth the $1000 a paid out of pocket.

Remission is a wonderful thing! Please concentrate on how well you are feeling and don't think about the what ifs. That's wonderful and I hope the good feeling continues!
